Think Green

For us, sustainability is more than just saving paper and switching off lights. It is a promise for a future fit for grandchildren, and we see it as our task and challenge to raise awareness of sustainable action. We promote renewable energies, reduce water consumption, minimize waste and support local products with regional cycles. As part of the climate village Eppan, we are also setting sail in our La Rosea guesthouse to make our contribution to sustainable energy and the environment on a “small scale” at all levels. It is important to us to live this mindfulness every day. As a guest of our La Rosea Fine Living Apartments, we invite you to share our philosophy in the spirit of a solidary and sustainable future for our next generation.

La Rosea was designed in such a way that we were able to use natural materials such as wood and natural stone. These materials not only create an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere, but also help to reduce our ecological footprint and create a soothing and harmonious sense of comfort.

Our exterior design includes wooden walkways and as much greenery as possible that blends harmoniously into the surrounding nature.

The guesthouse was built using sustainable construction methods in accordance with the “Climate House Standard A Nature” regulations. To ensure a pleasant room temperature, the apartments are partially cooled via the ground using geothermal energy and cooling. The energy supply is partly provided by a heat pump, which is powered by the building’s own photovoltaic system, so that we are also doing our bit here to provide you with clean energy. This also applies to the pool in all areas. Our 20-kilowatt photovoltaic system on the roof covers a large part of our energy requirements. We also offer a charging station for e-bikes in the garage; charging is free of charge for our guests. We also have an e-charging station for cars, which we offer for a fee.

Our cleaning concept is based on high-quality ecological products from the company Hygan, which produces most of the cleaning agents itself, and on cleaning with environmentally friendly steam. Cleanliness and hygiene are our top priorities, both in the apartments and in the common areas.

South Tyrolean drinking water is a precious commodity. In our region, it comes from the water tunnel in the Furglau ravine above St. Pauls. Drinking water flows from every tap and can be consumed at any time. You are welcome to use our beautiful La Rosea glass bottles for this, so we also support local handicrafts. In the apartments you will find high-quality thermos flasks for optimum cooling or keeping the drinking water warm. Sparkling mineral water is available on request. The glass bottles must be returned. This closes the cycle here too, and you help us to avoid waste in plastic bottles and plastic containers as far as possible. We would be delighted if you would support our sustainability concept here too.

We ask you to be careful, cautious and economical with the consumption of precious drinking water in the spirit of solidarity in water consumption. We also do our bit, e.g. toilet flushes that automatically limit the amount of water using the “smaller” button and help to reduce water consumption. Our showers and washbasins also have a flow limiter, the pool water is treated and supplied with an accurate dosing system. We have a time-controlled watering system in our garden and many potted plants are still watered by hand.

You as a guest can also reduce your ecological footprint through small measures such as waste separation. We offer our guests many opportunities to live sustainability, make a positive contribution to environmental protection and promote awareness of mindful living.

Avoiding unnecessary waste: We want to avoid unnecessary waste and encourage our guests to feel at home. Please bring your own slippers to reduce your ecological footprint. If you have forgotten them, we will be happy to provide you with some, but ask that you take them with you after use and continue to use them.

Waste management: We attach great importance to the separation and avoidance of waste. Please separate your waste carefully according to the instructions at our waste station in the garage. Organic waste, glass, plastic, cardboard and paper are disposed of separately so that they can be returned to an ecological cycle.

Our guiding principle is: Together we can overcome this important challenge, which also offers many opportunities to make a positive contribution to environmental protection. So that our beautiful province of South Tyrol remains a unique vacation destination and vacation region.
